About Dr. Goodman

Dr. Goodman received her Doctorate in Psychology from Chestnut Hill College, where she was trained with a blend of psychodynamic and family systems therapies in addition to psychological assessment. Utilizing the foundations of her education, Dr. Goodman strives to develop a strong relationship with her clients to guide self-exploration. She believes that having knowledge about oneself is one of the ultimate drivers in creating lasting, positive change.

Over the course of her training and career, Dr. Goodman has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitals, community mental health clinics, and general outpatient settings, where she has provided services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Additionally, she completed a fellowship in psychoanalytic study at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia

Individual Therapy

Dr. Goodman works with adults ages 18 and up. She has extensive experience working with individuals struggling with, but not limited to, the following:

  • Life Transitions

  • Relationship Issues

  • Identity Issues

  • Grief & Loss

  • Substance Use

  • Trauma

Couples Therapy

In addition to working with individuals, Dr. Goodman provides couples therapy. This is an opportunity for couples to work through relational issues and provide the tools for effective conflict resolution and communication. Treatment can often be short-term, depending on the challenges you are your partner are coping with.

Intake appointments range from 60-90 minutes. Subsequent sessions range from 45 to 55 minutes.

Questions

  • Currently, Dr. Goodman is not an in-network provider. However, she can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have Out-of-Network (OON) benefits. To determine if you have OON benefits, call your insurance company to review your plan.

  • Intake session - $250

    Individual session - $200

    Couples session - $225

    Dr. Goodman accepts payment via cash, check or IVY Pay (credit, debit or HSA card)

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost over the course of one (1) year.

    Under new law (2022), healthcare providers are required to provide an estimate of the cost of one (1) year of services to patients who either do not have insurance or who are not using insurance.

    You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

    While you will be offered a Good Faith Estimate at the start of treatment, you may request a Good Faith Estimate at any time during your care.

    If you receive an invoice that is at least $400 greater than is outlined in your Good Faith Estimate, you are permitted to dispute the invoice.
